Isle of MTV Malta 2026 takes place on Wednesday 22 July 2026 at Il-Fosos Square, better known as The Granaries, in Floriana. Europe's biggest free summer music festival is headlined by global superstar Katy Perry, with support acts announced by MTV in the weeks before the show. Entry is free but you must register in advance for a ticket, and tickets are released in limited batches on the official Isle of MTV website. Lineup and show. Katy Perry headlines a set built around hits such as Firework, Roar, Dark Horse and Teenage Dream, staged with the pyrotechnics, costume changes and large screen production the festival is known for. Doors usually open in the late afternoon, with the main performances running from early evening until roughly midnight. Venue logistics. The Granaries is an open, paved square directly opposite the Floriana parish church, a ten minute walk from Valletta bus terminus. There is no seating, so wear comfortable shoes and expect to stand for several hours. Bags are searched at the gates, professional cameras and glass bottles are not allowed, and water points are available inside. Parking in Floriana fills early, so the park and ride at Blata l-Bajda or public buses to Valletta are the easier options. Extra late night buses run after the show, and taxi ranks operate around the Triton Fountain. History. Isle of MTV has been staged in Malta since 2007 and has hosted Lady Gaga, Jason Derulo, Dua Lipa, David Guetta, Enrique Iglesias, Kesha and Alesso, regularly drawing crowds of more than 50,000 people. The concert anchors Malta Music Week, a run of club nights and pool parties across the island in the days that follow.
