Why we built this
If you live in Malta, you know the drill. Someone mentions a market in Marsaxlokk, a jazz night in Valletta, a festa you didn't know about until it was over. You find out on Facebook — or you don't find out at all.
The problem is that Malta's community life has quietly moved onto a platform that not everyone uses, not everyone trusts, and not everyone wants to be on. Facebook works fine if you're already there. But if you've left, or you never joined, or you're visiting the island for a week — you're locked out of what's happening.
GoGather exists to fix that. A simple, open, no-account-needed guide to what's on in Malta. Free to browse, free to list, built for the community rather than for an algorithm.
Browse events by date, area, category or price. No account needed, no tracking, no feed trying to keep you scrolling. Just what's on, clearly presented, easy to find.
When you find something you like, save it, share it on WhatsApp, or get directions. It takes about ten seconds.
If you're an organiser, submit your event directly and it goes live the same day. If we've already listed your event from a public source, you can claim it, take ownership and keep the details up to date.
GoGather is free to list on. Always. We want every community event, market, gig, festa and gathering in Malta to be findable by anyone — local or visitor — without friction.
If you run events regularly and want more visibility, we offer promoted placement — your event featured at the top of the listings with a fuller description and a direct booking or reservation link.
GoGather was started in Malta by someone who got tired of missing things. We're a small team that believes community life should be visible to everyone — not just the people who happen to be on the right platform that day.
We're based in St Paul's Bay and we're building this for the island we live on, with the intention of taking it to other island communities that have the same problem.
If you have an event to list, a suggestion to make, or just want to say hello — we'd love to hear from you.
