GoGather.mt ("GoGather", "we", "us", or "our") operates the website gogather.mt — a community events platform listing what's on in Malta and Gozo. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect information when you visit our site.

• Event submissions — if you submit an event through our Add Event form, we collect the information you provide including event details and your contact email address.
• Organiser accounts — if you claim or register an organiser listing, we collect your name, email address and information about your events.

We use the information we collect to:

• Display and operate the GoGather events platform
• Remember your search filters and preferences during your visit
• Contact you about your event submissions or organiser account
• Understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it
• Display relevant advertisements through Google AdSense (see Section 5)
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Event Data

GoGather aggregates publicly available event information from official event organisers, ticketing platforms and public sources. If you are an event organiser and wish to update or remove your event listing, please contact us at hello@gogather.mt.

• Functional cookies — used to remember your filter selections and preferences within a browsing session. These are stored in your browser's sessionStorage and are cleared when you close the tab.

We retain event submission data and organiser account information for as long as it is necessary to provide our service. Analytics data is retained in aggregated, anonymised form. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

8. Your Rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Maltese data protection law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
• Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC) Malta at idpc.org.mt

11. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Malta. Any disputes arising in connection with this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malta.
