Għadajjar Għajnejja: Ebbs and Flows runs at the Art Galleries of the Malta Society of Arts in Valletta from Thursday 22 October to Thursday 12 November 2026. The solo exhibition by Miriam Galea is curated by Julien Vinet and supported by Arts Council Malta. Building on Galea’s previous picture books Ors and Ġewwieni/Innards, the new body of work moves into a spatial gallery format and examines the boundaries between presence and absence. Water becomes both material and metaphor throughout the exhibition, with diluted ink, pale blue tones and flashes of fluorescent pink used to explore fluidity, motherhood, invisibility and modern disconnection. The work embraces ambiguity, allowing forms to emerge, dissolve and remain partially undefined. Looking for a contemporary art exhibition in Valletta this autumn? Għadajjar Għajnejja offers an intimate exploration of colour, movement and perception through a practice centred on making the invisible visible. The opening event takes place on 22 October at 18:30. Entrance is free.
