Malta's arts calendar is anchored by Teatru Manoel, one of Europe's oldest working theatres, whose season spans opera, drama, dance and chamber music in a jewel-box baroque auditorium. Around it sits a lively ecosystem. Spazju Kreattiv at St James Cavalier programmes contemporary theatre, film and visual art; the open-air Pjazza Teatru Rjal stages summer concerts and productions among Valletta's ruins; and Teatru Salesjan in Sliema hosts everything from rock series to dance festivals.
Dance has a strong home here too, with ŻfinMalta, the national dance company, touring new contemporary work alongside ballet and crossover productions. Across the year you'll find touring musicals, stand-up comedy, drag and burlesque nights, student showcases and large-scale spectaculars at the Mediterranean Conference Centre. Major moments punctuate the calendar: the Mediterrane Film Festival in June, the Malta International Arts Festival in summer, and one-off events like internationally touring comedians and theatre productions.
GoGather brings the whole picture together with performance dates, venues, ticket prices and booking links, so you can plan an evening at the theatre or catch an exhibition you'd otherwise have missed. Filter by area to find what's on near you, or browse by date to build a night out. Malta's cultural organisations announce their programmes in waves through the year, so the arts calendar here is always worth a second look.
