MYO Christmas Concert

Celebrate the joy of Christmas with the Malta Youth Orchestra, under the direction of Michael Laus, joined by Coro Kemonia for an evening of inspiring orchestral and choral music in the magnificent surroundings of Mdina Metropolitan Cathedral. The programme spans centuries of musical tradition, from the serene beauty of Bach’s Sheep May Safely Graze and Mozart’s radiant Missa in honorem Trinitatis to William Gomez’s beloved Ave Maria . A selection of traditional Sicilian Christmas carols brings festive warmth, while Karl Jenkins’ moving Benedictus offers a message of hope and peace. The concert concludes with Emanuele Galea’s Sinfonija Pastorali , celebrating the Christmas spirit through a distinctly Maltese musical voice.
